I fly the SG every Sunday night at my indoor heli club. It flies great. i've had a few crashes but never more to change than the blades. It's one great little heli. Great to learn on and great to learn collective pitch on!

I got mine converted to Futaba 2.4GHz from Rudiger Feil www.hirobo-online.de.

I
think they do a Spektrum version as well!

Ciao,
Bob.

I'm in Brussels - just got home after 5 hours at the heli club in the sun - it was great!

I have no idea which rx/yx is better - I use Futaba. A lot depends on which model radio in the brand-range. A higher end radio will always be better...

5 hours flying my big helis and lots of batteries.

I use my own Futaba radio with the SG. But you can get the heli with a radio if you want. I prefer my own which is more advanced than the cheap one that comes with the heli.

Bob

Not sure about that. But my JR 12X MV can be used for the Quark.
Have they (Hitec) released the module yet? What year was it when they promised about its release?

Check out Ruediger Feil's site. He's making all sorts of adaptations for Quarks.

I got my Futaba 2.4GHz Quark SG from him and it works perfectly. He's a number one Hirobo expert in Germany.

Hi Angelo:

Augusto at yrbuy.com indicates that the SG is in stock and he usually provides excellent service at good prices (shipping is free in US). Also a programmable Tx is highly recommended and will provide more convenience and better functionality. Thanks.

Thought I would add that I am now the proud owner of both an original Quark and a SG. I also have the tool and parts to make the stock connectors if anyone needs an adapter.

Hi prototype3a:

Welcome to the club! So what are your thoughts on the SG?

So far I've only flown it on TP 3s740 which I can definitely feel is heavy. I have some 3s460 packs coming to try out and I also plan on trying some of the different head setups. If I like it, and I suspect I will, I may send it off to be spektrumized. The little flying I've done with the 3s740 has been fun. It is no 3d monster but an amusing little CP.
