Default KME 60 - Fit 3d+ mounting brackets?

Anyone flying a KME60 in their 3d+?

Im thinking of putting one in mine, but not sure if the upper mounting bracket will fit...

Could I mount the engine without the upper mounting ring? Most heli's dont have this so I think it would be ok..

Havent purchased it yet.. If the KME should be avoided why not YS56?

From all reports the YS56R has more torque and less bearing wear compared to the 55HZ.. And its regulated/pressurized.

I would go for a YS or a Novarossi. Never really cared for OS. Way over rated in my opinion.

What's wrong with the KME? I think I read they are a bitch to tune and keep in tune.

watched one run recently and was not impressed at all, it was well tuned and seemed to run like a dog.

One of the RR members tried a new TT56 and it lasted all of 30secs before the connecting/conrod broke off where it joins the crack shaft.. Not a good start...

skip the KME and get a YS56 or an OS55
I run one of each in my 2 3d plus's.

If you run the YS, make sure to get a new rubber insert for the upper motor mount.
