The Factory Pilots have to get the prototypes first, test them and get info back to the designer for modification. We are hoping the prototypes will be here soon

I posted this on the other site today

Here is a quick shot next to a retired 50

PLEASE NOTE this is a CONCEPT MODEL and has changed some compared to the current model but you can get an idea of its size

Information I have to share so far is
Model has
8.6:1 Main Gear ratio .8mod tooth
4.58 Tail Ratio
TT Drive
Capable to swing 620mm blades with 95mm Tail Blades with room to spare

Also look at cad renders to give you an idea how wide the canopy is if it was any narrower it would be part of the frame

Any chance of a hint as to what the test pilots are running in it?? Motor, servos, gov, that sort of thing...getting ready to start filling the cart and just looking for a little guidance...
Can't wait to start getting all the new shiny pieces all laid out on the table.....

So your not gonna run a AR7100R and use the rev limiter and regulator thats built into it? I thought that might be a good thing to do to save weight.

I perfer a full govenor over the rev limiter, I'll either use the Spectrum sensor pickup or a Hotwings opticle sensor and already have a 7100 and a pair of 9100 receivers, I don't think using a 7100 and a MultiGov Pro will add enough weight to worry about, I'm also going to give the Perfect Regulators a try and waiting to get the 10amp bec from Matt to test out as well on our O550, we'll see my thoughts may change when I have the prototype build and see what kind of room I have available for mounting.

I'm pretty sure the servo layout is the exact same setup as the Outrage 550

OK Charley, I'll make that note against the piccies, as always prototypes are works in progress and changes inevitably happen, that's the point of prototypes
