Personally I'm not going to anymore. Now that I have an arbor press, it's a piece of cake to change the bearings. And oiling bearings usually shortens the life of the grease that's already in the bearing. Next time, I might just spend the extra cash and get fully sealed bearings so none of the grease will leak out.

AFAIK the Protos motor is a Scorpion, if so they say you need to oil the bearings (with the oil they sell). So until you replace the the bearings you should add a drop of oil on a regular basis (before each days flight is a good plan IMO).

the oil is runny enough if you put a couple drops as close as you can get to the bearing the oil will find its way throught the crack and into the bearing. if you have an oil bottle with a little straw that will help to get the lube in the right spots.

The scorpion oil comes with 2 needle aplicators both of different sizes, as it was mentioned a few drops right near the shaft adaptor will seep its way onto the upper bearing, as for the lower bearing its very easey to get a drop or two of oil on it by just holding the heli upside down and using the longe needle between the vents on the shaft.

Is there something special about the scorpion oil? I have tri-flow lube that I have used on my blade 400's motor and I wonder if I can use that on my Protos
