older BCX
Have an BCX that hasn't flown for a couple years. Batteries are weak, but work for a couple minutes.
This just started. Plugged battery in and it wouldn't arm. Moved transmitter further away (3') and it armed, but then intermediately ran the motors full speed. This is with the throttle stick and trim all the way down. Last time it ran 2 days before had a mild crash and cracked a lower blade. 4in1 went bye bye?? |

I have one of mine (can't remember witch) that does that occasionaly when the battery wears down. I would try another battery, even if the wrong size (still 1s but different mah) and see what happens. Don

Sounds as if the tx and rx are not communicating. Pull the crystal out of the 4 in 1 and reinstall it, just to make sure it didn't loosen. It wouldn't hurt to do the same with the crystal in the transmitter. Also make sure the batteries in the transmitter are good ones, and as mentioned, try a new battery in the helicopter. You might want to consider going to the 2.4GHz 4 in 1 unit, and not have to worry about interference. I changed mine over as soon as the 2.4 GHz units came out. You will have to find a transmitter for it, but should be able to get a used one pretty cheap. (LP5DSM) Good Luck!
