Hi, am installing an Align 800mx into my Whippy, it has 14 tooth pinion and 124 tooth maingear, will the motor be running at optimum gear ratio with this setup?

Will be going in with a 120hv esc.

Any advice would be great!

Seems too high of a gear ratio to me. For optimum performance, you would need to run a headspeed of just under 2600. I'm assuming you have a 12s setup?

gator79 is correct. You need a ratio somewhere between 9.0 and 10.0. If you run a 13 tooth pinion with the 124 tooth main gear, you would have a gear ratio of 9.54. That's perfect for the 520kv motor and 12S setup you are running.
