Default How do i bind normal rx?

trying to bind an aR 6100e , but the RX to GT5 connections seem to preclude the use of the bind plug i. I've tried a number of combos , each time the AR6100 light goes steady like its binded but then when i turn it back on it isn't

Tried binding the RX separately and through the GT5
Closest i've got is w/ the esc plugged into the GT5 [freeing up the Batt. post on the ar6100 for the bind plug] , then binding through the GT5 , when done the RX light is steady but its still not bound.

Still not sure of right proceedure even.
still binds to a sat.

not sure if i should still be binding in Spektrum mode w/ normal Rx?

FRom TT , thanks guys;

Please bind your transmitter and receiver first. Then connect 3 wires from the receiver to the GT5 per the manual and set up the "receiver" to be 5ch on the GT5.

Got it going, had to experiment all morning to get the RX - GT5 plugs in right spots.

everything seems to be working on test stand [ i had to rest everything], but those lights in the 'gain ' column blink alot and total gain seems to be zero now or nor registering, plus the RC indicator is now an ''!''.

I now have 'failsafe'!
