I have no idea how to set total gain on the GT5, it just goes to whatever given the parameters I have set to make it work . Maybe you are referring to the "travel adjust menu in the Tx?

i mean total gain on you front display gain you the gain of swash and tail. which you change in your TX , they say to set the value to 100% but yet the manual does not state weather you should drop this value after set-up is complete

you can drop it if you want to change roll response [speed] or i guess tail response , but otherwise leave it. |

The idea with total gain is to run it at 100 eventually but it's mainly for setup, you set different gains on idle up switch (or other) as too high gains will make the heli shake all over the place, then you just flip back to lower gain. btw make sure your overall gan is against black background, not white, you will have to play with your tx to get gains working the right way. Some say it doesnt matter, with 5 gt5's ive set up it does matter!
But if it flies well at 100 just leave it and adjust individual parameters |

Stolla which Tx are you using? i tried w/dX6i but could not get it to work [though one switch would move the +ve number to zero or neg] i still have no way to alter it to some desired number. Maybe there is some way of setting up 2 trav adj menus ?? Anyway i fly fine w/o it.

Set it up like a normal gyro in your gyro menu and asign dual rates to a switch or flight modes!
Do your initial setup with the total gain on the G-T5 at 100 then set one of the d/r at 100, one at 80 and if you have a third set it to 60. I think on the DX6i, DX7, X9303, X9503 and DSX9 you have to reverse the gain chanel be it Gear or Aux2 and in the JR 11X you need to go into the gyro sense menue and switch from NORM to T.LOCK in order to switch from a white to black background.

i have been playing with this gt5 for a while now with the 450 its slowly getting there. i really like the feel of the cyclic getting the heli to pop low on deck is fun ! , but yet i still have the shake on the head i can hear it wobbling in air. so the only solution would be to turn gain down at 100% throttle flat curve

Thanks Al , i've tried that with the Gyro menu. Maybe you are referring to the D/R combi area, never messed with it, have to learn , no matter . |

Gaza, I had to bump my TH. Curve up to 90 from 74 to get more lift , apparently there was a bad spot at 85%. Knocking the "i" down to single digits cured the wobble

Gaza, so found wobble was back at 90% throttle, so I lowered ele, ail to 60% in trav. Adj. That worked! Wasn't good for anything but hover at 73% ,so It wasn't flyable. So I have
P. 30 I 3 D stk 90 D sen 45 that worked when I lowered it Those values are very loose , P makes little diff except at extremes Those low Tr. Adj values don't make it sluggish like they would with a FB system. Edit ; + my tail servo seems to working very hard & gets warm so i'm knocking that down too.
