Question mCPX and mSR Parts for the Nano

With the excpetion of some orange O-rings I have been flying an entirely stock nano for about 6 weeks now and am loving it.

However, I noticed a lot of cool upgrades for the mCPX and mSR and was wondering if they would fit on the nano. I am particularly interested in a landing skid and main rotor blade upgrades. So your sage advice is requested and is much appreciated.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all.

Any hop-ups that I look for should be made of plastic or carbon fiber, especially since our nCP Xs only weigh a tad over an ounce, and use those ultra micro 150-160mAh batteries to pull that weight. Aluminum is considerably heavier than plastic, and will tax the esc, motor, and battery.

So with all that said, here's some ideas:
  1. KBDD skids - they come in a bunch of colors. Look for the ones made for the mCP X. example: KBDD mCPX Landing Skids - Orange
  2. KBDD tail rotors - again, they come in an array of pretty much the same colors as the skids, and again - look for the ones made for the mCP X. example: KBDD Extreme Edition Tail Blades - mCPX - Pink (2 pcs.)
  3. Xtreme Carbon Fiber Vertical Tail Fin for mCPX
  4. Different canopies - here's a good reference link: Blade Nano CP X Canopy Revisited
  5. Other o-rings for skid stops and dampers for the head: Silicone o-ring Size 001 Price for 100 pcs
You will need to cut about 1/16 in. off the top mounting pins for those skids to fit, and use some PVA glue or rubber cement to secure them, making sure not to get any on the motor's pinion gear. Also, cut the top portion of the battery tray off, so it will not bump into the bottom of the 3-in-1 board. I've got a how-to video here: Modding the KBDD mCPX skids for the Blade nCP X

Hope this starts you off in the right direction!

There are also color main blades that are starting to come on to the market from MicroHeli and Lynx.
