The Aurora..., I'm just going to be using a 360 pan and manual tilt for now on the plane (no ball for now, I don't plan on selling that unit anytime soon so I've got to test the new products.) Manual tilt only on the heli. The Hitec HS-225MG almost doubles the weight of the direct drive tilt so that will give you an idea of weight. The gear drive most likely added about 2oz., I'll know soon.

After all the snow we received, today has been a downpour of rain which is creating flooding. Tomorrow is supposed to be blizzard like conditions with winds exceeding 40 mph. The weather just has not been in my favor for quite some time.

All the pricing will be finalized this week and posted on the website. "Buy Now" or "Add to Cart" buttons will also appear. I'll update with photos as soon as I get them.

All the cool stuff is nearing completion. The photo below should give you an idea of what is yet to come.

We've been thrashing around names for the new Mast Gimbal at APLanding... It's your turn, any suggestions?

Envision Mast gimbal for SLR's.

Adjustable camera CG left, right, fore, aft, plus adjustable lens center of rotation. Auto leveling roll. 8 precision bearings.

Unrestricted 360 pan. Pan/Tilt geared 8:33.1 with 449 oz-in. of torque.

Outside rail dimensions 2.75" deep, 9.5" tall, 9.75" wide. 25 oz weight.

Not shown: portrait adapter and 'adjustable' zoom servo mount for different diameter/length lens. This is the same gimbal that will be used for larger aircraft. 550 blades and up. There is an additional servo mount for use of gyro on roll stabilization. On the mast it balances more like a steadicam.

Photo Gallery with demo video.

Product pricing has finally been determined and will show up toward the end of the week along with more products.

Great work Troy.

I am a very happy man!!! Thats because video is my first priority and i was thinking about roll gyro stabilization, and that i may not have it with a reasonable prized gimbal!!!

Its about 700 grams wich suits me fine !!!

Its out a little sooner than i thought...!!!!

Hi Troy is your site still up and running as I tried it the other day and drew a blank. I pre ordered a 450 mount from you last year in jan 09 from aplanding. I know you were under a lot of pressure with setting up your company and I'm more interested to see if you'd made a success of things. Plus is my 450 camera mount ready yet lols.
Regards Liam.
