I missed this post! Mine weighs 44g.

I'm glad you guys are liking the new Lynx canopy design. I feel like a proud papa.

"Your kid´s a bit overweight"

Sorry, I had to. And it´s really just 6g over the stock canopy. I´ve a blank Fusuno though which is only 20g (and distorted).

Every reason to be proud of it!

Haha, funny.

I was concerned they were going to be really heavy like some of the aftermarket canopies, but they aren't bad considering the extra material for the wrap-around. Plus, they are slightly larger up front too so there's more area there as well.

Having made the master, mold, and about half a dozen canopies from the original mold, I just can't believe they can make (and paint!) them for that price!

Hello Mala, you do not know because every time you crack the sprockets, to me at the moment has never happened.
I'm from Bergamo, if you want we can vedereper a flight occasionally.: Thumbup:

I really like my Mini Protos too, But I am going to have to disagree about it being reliable... It is the biggest workbench queen I have ever had, if it didn't fly so awesome, I would have sent it packing long ago!

I love the way you fly trexwilly!
I also love my mini stretch 6s, so I sold the 500 protos why do not I used it more.
Yesterday I removed the bx to miniprotos and I mounted the kbar, it goes very, very well, I mounted the VBar on goblin 700.
this afternoon, since I had a problem in spooling up, I mounted the pinion to 16t, the 15t had a problem with the clutch.
now that you're right!! runs like a beast!

Totally the opposite from what I experienced so far. 400 flights in and the only things I changed maintenance related was a Y support bearing, one set of tail bearings and 2 pinions. Granted I´m easy on the equipment (lower HS to begin with), but it makes me wonder about QC

In the first two years I owned the Mini Protos it required nearly zero maintenance. But (to be blunt) the recently-purchased replacement parts have been total crap. Pinions that fail after 2 flights causing crashes?? Totally unacceptable, as is MSH seemingly ignoring the issue!

yes the new pinions suck. 4 in 20 flights. I solved that issue with a warp pinion but I am stuck with 16t and I need 15t. now I am trying to get the tail solid. compared to my x3 that thing has been bullet proof.
it does not seem to deal with off balance blades or a slight bend in the head the thing will shake it's self to death before it gets spooled up.

Hello guys, I was looking at the site and lynx have produced the upgrades complete with tail pitch slider and consists of hands. And also the hub.
They are also defining a set of pinions from 13t to 16t to hang with the grain.
And shortly come out with the y cnc with increased bearing.
at least it also solves the problem of the pinions that crack

enjoy
Marco

Well I have another hours worth of work in on my Mini Protos, maybe this time I will get more than 4 flights on a pinion, this is an old 15T my buddy gave me from his stores! It's used, but I tested it, and gave it a good look-cee under a powerful magnifying glass... no cracks!

I have to admit the last 14T, I received it, and mounted it with only a naked eye inspection... but when I got it off today, there was a very clear crack... This last one came from A-Main so I guess I'll see how their CS is...

14T pinions are notorious for cracking. 15T is about as low as i'd go. i'd LOVE to run a 14T. That way I can dail up my throttle curves and not have to run 70% on my YGE for a still very high 3000rpm.

Hopefully Lynx will introduce their pinions for this heli soon and will address all these cracking issues. I believe they are releasing a CNC Y support mount as well which would be awesome.

Yup it is back in "baby it mode", I need a new belt, I guess, cause this pinion is holding but it is slipping and howling...

New Canopy from lynx and man, they look nice, are ALOT bigger than stock, and a better in size for a stretch 450.
I weighed mine at 47g, and my Fusuno one (same size as stock) is 34g. The visibility is well worth the extra weight for me.

The canopy is also a bit higher so it leaves plenty of space for lipos. It's kinda hard to put on though, because of the part that goes behind the main shaft.

when you place it just slightly bend the aletteposteriori of the canopy outward, comes very easily, I find no difficulty '.
the more visible that I have tried so far is the canopy fluorescent yellow and gray, it looks very much better than the blue and yellow. always speaking of these enveloping.: Thumbup:
