I don't show setup on a heli as whats left to do that I don't show in my setup vid? Just get your throttle servo as close to 100/100 on travel adjust as possible.
I am running the multigov on my Knight3D and you can see me fly it in the build threads as well as Tim Jones flying it at the Bakersfield funfly videos. One of the best govs out there in my opinion but yes I also do like the rev limiter in the AR7100R. All take either one! Bob

Hi Bob!
I am sorry if the question as been asked tons of time but I think you rember I am french canadian and there is a lot to read! I will use my MuliGov with my DX7se. As you suggested, in Input Select, I use AUX2=F.MOD... but for this I suppose I have to use GEAR=GYRO? Then if you say yes... I should plug my gyro on the gear channel on the receiver? Thank you in advance!

Your welcome Vibe
I received mine yesterday. I have installed and configured it, but haven't had a chance to test it yet. Im still waiting for the servo plate, servo and a few other bits so I can setup the carbsmart option too. I have a question for peoples... Is it possible to setup a kill switch using the aux2 switch on the TX, even though the aux2 channel is configured to F.Mod?? I am running a DX7. |

Cancel my above throttle cut switch question. I just re-watched Bob's Throttle cut-out switch vid and discovered you use the gear switch. Would be so much nicer if i was able to make use of the aux2 switch as a kill switch, but as I hae a spartan, I don't think i wil be using rate mode much, so all is good

With the DX7, I realy like the throttle recovery fonction for killing the engine.

Yea throttle recovery is nice but I MUCH prefer a switch
Spoiled from my Futaba radio days as it's built in even their lower radios like the 7C! So I had to figure out how to do one on the DX7 and X9303... Sorry man throttle recovery works but a switch is cooler and no worries about over driving the servo I mean heck... you have all those switched all over a DX7 you never use so why not! Bob

You don't have to worry about that if you set up the closed throttle point to be full negative trim. I've been able to do that on both of my nitro birds and still maintain very close to 100/100 endpoints.

With a mix and a switch it's flick it and forget it! Low stick is 100 and closed is about 115-120 with the mix added in. I think this is better than using the trim for a couple reasons. 1) How many freakin times have you gone to start your engine and forgot to return the trim? Maybe you don't but I did many times till I got pissed about it You can easily spot the A switch as being down long before you go to start. Tie that to your switch glow and it will never happen 2) When you crash most people hit hold and the heli sits there idling sucking in dirt. Takes a little more time on a digital trim to lower the trim to cut the engine. With a switch its instant. Not a biggie but still a benefit. Hey in the end it is a preference thing. I prefer a switch myself. Bob

I also start my heli in TH. Ever since I had an accidental hot start.
There is another nice thing about using the gear channel for both rate mode and the kill switch... some of the gyros (at least the spartan and the gy401) have led's indicating when you are in HH mode and they turn off when in rate mode. With the kill switch you are switching to rate mode, so its easy to see on the heli if the kill switch is active without looking at your radio while trying to start your heli (assuming you can see your gyro and its not tucked under the canopy), so an easier visual clue |

Hey Guys,
I am about to install the CSM throttle arm to control the mixture and it seems that the spring washer must not be used because there is not enough place for the nut to be screwed. Is that right? Cheers

Hi Michalis,
I used a longer socket head bolt with nyloc nut as I didn't like the idea of a normal nut with spring washer. I got mine dialled in on the weekend. Temp set at 100c, head speed at 1800rpm. It took ages for it to get up to temp, but in the end i got 14 minutes flight time out of a tank on my trex600n. |

Thats not a spring washer it is a lock washer. You can get it with the washer by crimping the plastic with pliers. But is it needed? NOPE....

I'll add that loctite isn't terribly useful on that bolt because you may have to loosen and tighten that bolt many times when tuning and then tweak it from time to time.

I used the supplied nut only and applied locktite. Hope i already found the sweet spot and dont have to remove the arm while tunning it as TheBum said. At the past weekend, I checked my engine's temp with a thermometer and it was at around 107C.I set the temperature of the multigov at 105C. I know that this depends from the ambient temperature and here in my country at this time of the year the temperature varies from 32 to 44C. Yes, that's hot. Good that the sea is not far away How much throw you guys set the servo to give? I have it to move at about 2 clicks in either direction. I am thinking to increase the throw and see how it goes. Will test it on Saturday. Cheers

Yes increase it more. I have mine about 5 clicks each way. Helps when the weather changes a lot.
