I havent mapped down the Hacker, so data is unknown unfortunally.
Try Castle since that is pretty linear and see, but be aware that actual result might differ. |

I am only looking for somewhat close. Within 50 would be nice. I will tach my L400 on the weekend and see what get.
I am running 150kv hacker on 20t governed to 77% with 6s v-plus 30C and the performance feels good. It is hard to tach when you are flying by yourself

You need to see what YOUR endpoints should be with futaba;
83/83 is only for spektrum. Watch this video and make the same as I do in the second part of the video, i.e. lower ATV, raise it until it arms. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oA5_Pg-ym_A[/ame] |

But, Does HSCalculator show HS for 100/100 or for adjusted point ? My question is because i check with ET system my stuff ( Pyro 700-52 and Jive80HV ) I use 12Tpinion on mod1. HScalculator show at 65% 1840rpm, but my ET show 1930....hence I think that my Pyro is out of his range. Thanks |

Yes, it need "adjusted ATV"
Pyro and most german motors using a different method of checking KV, you can press the hint on Motor KV and you get the story about that. |

Hi
I have a Logo 600 with a Scorpion 4035 500kv motor, 11t mod 1 pinion, 12s lipo, Jive 80HV (using mode 11) and Turnigy 6s 30c 3600 mah batteries. EC5 connectors. I used a high quality microphone and Audacity 1.3 to calculate my headspeed today I plotted graphs from the headspeed calculator vs my headspeed/throttle%. The result is that I need to have 8% higher throttle curve to obtain the same headspeed as suggested in the calculator. Or said in another way. I get 100 rpm less than suggested in the calculator at any point. For 2000 rpm I need 79% throttle and for 2200 rpm I need 98%. My questions are then:

I havent tested Mode 11, and it really is hard to get down since it wont be affected by temp and weather and pack same as mode 4, it all depends on what your FIRST spoolup was. |

Thanks for the quick reply, Mr. Mel I did the spoolup with some average batteries at zero degree pitch. Should I just increase my throttle% till I get the right rpm in Audacity?

If its any use to anyone the final gear ratio for a henseleit rigid is the equvilant of a single stage with a main gear of 158.1

Because it cost twice as much, and the Scorpion 4035 is a very nice motor .

I have an ideal. How about adding a field that shows the gear ratio. I know it is simple math, but it would be cool to see. Also if there could be motor data somewhere like the number of poles, etc....

I was inspired by MrMel's calc and did a simple headspeed calc with some fancy jquery and AJAX calls to a motor database.
