Let's wait for JR Americas (or JR Japan implicitly) to check out this thing. It is not a slam dunk that it will not interfere with the TX electronics depending on where you mount it and where you run the wires. Need some fancy test equipment to see if it is radiating or conducting down the wires - spectrum analyzer and FET probe.
Remember when Spektrum was crashing their own transmitters with the buzzer ? |

I am not going to get it. Voice is a small priority for me. I have reall no use for it

Well I think that the voice telemetry readout is the only thing that sets "others" apart from Jr and DMSS technology....
I for one would appreciate not having to look down to see the status of flight pack or timer... Gh Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Understood. I am not saying it shouldn't be done. All I am saying is for me it isn't a priority. I do think that to keep up in the radio world it needs it

Now to really sweeten up the JR telemetry line up lets make a few different sizes of MAH capacity used sensors that are useful for the heli line, that is where the JR line is really being killed. Presently we have to go adapt something to work but why when we have a great telemetry system already that could be plug and play

Correct on the sensor Dennis. I think from what I was told at Toledo that is coming if I understood it right

I am not going to install an aftermarket anything in my XG14E. One of my complaints about Spektrum is that you don't program the fail-safe from the TX screen like everyone else. This is leftover crap from the module introduction. I would also want voice or vibrator settings from the TX screens. Voice (with volume control) would distinguish what was being alerted. Multiple sensors are hard to differentiate with beeps. And an altitude up-count would be nice for auto's.
But many people only need the RX battery warning. Like Plane Guys, the big majority of the radios sold. |

My parting shot at this VSpeak is that it could be a completely separate unit from the transmitter. Robbe had this approach with the original Futaba prototype telemetry. As a receiver (of the telemetry signals), it would not void the TX warranty.
