Default Servo's Raptor 90 3d

What servos should I use? The 8717 are more money than I want to spend and maybe overkill since I am no professional.

Align DS-610's and Futaba 9252's are both good choices. As are Hi-Techs and Ace. As long as your in the 130-200 torque range, they all will work fine for cyclic and pitch usage. You can almost use anything on the throttle. But I prefer a fast servo in the .6-.10 sec/60' range to keep up with the governor during hard 3D flying. Good luck to ya with whatever you choose :-)

Get the alig ds610s without thinking. They make rap 90 sing heavy metal .

9252s are a little slow and since they cost same as Align ds610s, go for aligns.

For a little bit more money ace 1015s would be great choice. I heard they last longer than align ds610s. I have no other information to backup that theory tho.

For the throttle. I use a 3001 and its more than enough .

Thanks for the help!

I went with Hitec HS-7975HB and HS6635HB for throttle. I did not want to use metal gears since the gears will need to be replaced later. Put the first two flights on them today. They are great so far.

I was thinking of getting a new Hitec HS-7950th for my collective. It is a 400+ oz torque servo. Is that overkill?? I have a year or two old HS-5945mg which makes around 200 oz.

So are there people actually using the 610’s on 90 heli’s. I recently purchased some 610’s and wanted to use them in me 50, but now i find myself looking for a 90 SE and thought I could use the 610’s as a starting servo. Will the 610 handle the loads of 3D flying?

More than enough. Trust me 610s won't even slow down in a full pitch pump at all. They are monstorious.

What don't you like about the 9252s? Have you had any problems with them in flight? Have you flown it with any other cyclic servos?
