Spektrum DX8 and Align Aps lite setting up tips .

Just spent 3 weeks struggling to get my head around the Align Aps Lite Gyro setting up . my Aux 2 channel was mixing with the flap/gyro channel and causing the problems Not to mention a NiCad pack going flat ..The Status LED,s on the 3GX are the best indication of the setting up progress.
In 3GX mode the status light should be green flashing .
in APS mode. the Status led should be flashing orange ( not obvious try looking at the led from various positions until you can clearly see it orange.)
in GPS mode .The led should be flashing red..
Starting with the 3GX gain /percentage. three position sw up . adjust the percentage until the Status light turns Green flashing . Add / subtract a few percent just to be on the safe side.
Now the APS mode sw in the middle . just keep adjusting the percentage until the Status light turns orange. as before add or subtract a few percentage to be in a solid lock .
last sw position GPS. is with the three position switch all of the way down . The 3GX status light should be flashing red. Twiddle the adjusting knob until the status led turns flashing Red. Don't be surprised to find a minus figure may be needed to achieve the Flashing red led.
As a double check on the settings . activate all three switch positions and check out the APS lite led,sequences.
In 3GX mode the 3GX status light flashing grn .the APS box will show the following led's .Link grn /goes out with no TX control inputs . wiggle the sticks and it will come back on .GPS led will be on green or red , depending on satellite search .Mode Led is not on .XY ,axis Horizontal led is grn .
In APS mode . link led is on .GPS grn or red. MODE led grn XYHOR grn .
In GPS mode. Link led Grn . GPS led grn or red.. mode led flashing grn .
