Thanks that's good to know, I hope to have my 700 build done by early spring.... How do you like the 730MX? I have the 600 MX 550 DFC would it be worth upgrading?

Default 800MX VS 850 MX

I owned a 550 V1 stretched with a 600 boom 600 mx motor and talon 90. I didn't like it it was a dog . The new pro 550 with a 730 motor and edge 130 is really fast ! As for the the 700 the 750mx is a good motor but once you start to get good id switch to the 800. Great motor plenty of raw power. Both motors can handle anything you throw at them.

Or you can do like I did and get the 800MX rewound to have more copper = lower weight and more power! with lower temps! I had _Dekker on the motor forum do two of mine and I love them. The stator size is that of a Scorpion 4530, so the weight ends up being mid way between a 4525 and 4530, with power of 4530.

Dino, why the 490Kv? Just wondering as I just watched a video of "Luca Pescante tests new Align servos" and he is using the 540Kv, seemed pretty awesome! But I have also read that the Scorpion 4530-540 eats batteries, whereas the 4530-500 doesn't. So is that the reason you recommend the 490 over the 540?

Some days go, talk with Ben Storick and he has 850mx 490kv, 110T main gear and 13T pinion, with 14 pitch degress,
