Default How do you practice?

i am by no means a pro and i have yet to do any 3d flying, but i have created my own variations on practice. i fly an mcpx so i have the ability to practice in my apartment (If you are a very new beginner make sure you have a heli that wont damage your place.) i work on my hovering and manuvers by taking a dvd case and pushing it across the carpet. generally where it stops from my postion is where i have to fly to and hover over and practice landing. i got board with the dvd landings so i switched to putting my skids on the screen of my i phone (if you are interested i can get a video of me doing that) i am still doing what any tutorial video or lessons say about hovering rear first then side and side then nose in. i can land on many things but i am having problems with nose in still. i refuse to skip my nose in flying ability and try tricks. anyone have tips on nose in practice?

Have a look in this thread here.

Loads of great advice in there. Got my nose in orientation (on the sim) sorted in no time.
