Default Koby 55LV Keeps Going into Program Mode

Have had about 100 good flights owith my Koby 55LV but la couple of weeks ao when I plugged in the LiPo I got the program mode tone instead of the usual initialization tone. I cycled the power and it was fine so I flew a few packs that day. The next time I took the heli out it did it again but that time even cyclicng the power didn't help. I got the ProgDisc out and changed one of the setting to something else and then back again. That seemed to fix the problem and I flew without problems. The next time I took it out it did it again. This time even the ProgDisc wouldn't fix it. Soetimes it would initialize correctly but before I can put the canopy on and take it to the flight line, suddenly I hear the tone for program mode again. I was just about to give up when finally it workd and I flew that day. Yesterday I took it out again and it did it again after 3 good flights, and this time it had tured off the soft start, which caught me off guard.

Before I send this thing back to Kontronik, is there anything anyone recommends?

Did you try doing the Mode 1 re-set, cycle power, reprogram to Mode 4?

Haven't tried that. Actually I've never programmed a Koby that way but I will give it a try.

From time to time, my Koby 55 will "lock up" and give a flashing light error code when trying to change a parameter using the program disc. I then have to re-set it manually using the tx stick method to mode 1 (which also resets everything back to factory defaults). Then after cycling the power, I go back and reprogram it to mode 4.

It sound like yours might not be seeing a low stick consistantly. I would make sure you don't have any trim in the throttle channel and see if your throttle endpoints have moved in the Travel Adjust menu.

I found out what the problem is. I've been a Dork . As I've always programmed the Koby with the ProgDisc I never knew there is a button on it to go into program mode. My battery velcro strap was pressing the button randomly when I tighten it up . I've moved the ESC a little bit forward and all is good now
