Default Shape Heli's?

Where did the 'Shape' category go? I understand this heli made it to the US via Readyheli.com and is up there in quality to the TDR, and was very interested in getting one...

It would be cool to have a sub category for Shape but I am beginning to think I am the only one other than the factory who is flying one of them.

Well, as of today, you can add me to your club. Got it the other day and she's ready for electronics. This machine is truly a piece of art! There used to be a Shape category on here, was there not?

Personally I don't know the full range, but I'm pulling -13/+13 and there's significant room for more without binding... Here's a pic of mine until I can get more detailed pics up.

Oh yes please.

1 thing that turns me off this helis is the use of pins and grub screw arrangement holding things.

I remember on the TT helis, the ol pin in the tail, had mine fly out and I know a lot did, really made me nervous.

How do you feel about this?

Yea it was kinda like a WTF moment when I saw this design, but the pins are very secure and locked in place. Surely the Germans knew what they were doing? The design seems finicky but the way it's put together seems real solid. After 25 flights they haven't moved a mm and flights get better and better, although time will tell

I have never been a fan of M3 set/grub screws but so far everything on the Shape is holding up great. All I do is change packs and fly

Did anyone flip the grips? Seems one of the only helis FBL to lagging grips, i flipped the MPXLE, made it fly slightly different

Is there a disadvantage to trailing edge collective machines? What's the difference flight-wise?

Not 100% certain, having leading seems to be the standard, a little quicker on cyclic i think. Not sure you just need to try.
