I think there other factors involved. Head speed, flight style, belt tension, ambient temperature, and probably loads more. The fact is that the belt can escape with the Spedix tensioner. If it works for you then great but it didn't work for me. with the mikado 7mm tensioner, the gap only 0.5mm instead of 1mm either side.

Ah, there I see it now, post #179 with updated assembly sketch showing 3x10x7 & yes, same PN shown as "4273".

..strangely, when I typed 4273 in the Mikado search box, closest I get is '04273' which 3x10x4 for 600?

I think right part, wrong picture. Email Mikado USA and confirm - just ask if you order that part whether you'll be getting a 4mm or 7mm bearing.

hey.... my belt finally jumped on my logo500... how about that.

loose belt gets wedged between the pulley and the bearing, then it pulls it right out...

But the OWB can't fail. This was covered on the main forum with the 690SX thread.

So far my 550SX has been a comedy of errors. I've still only got 3 flights on it and it may be a month before I actually get it into the air again. It has been my absolute worst experience in terms of getting a heli from kit and into my flying rotation. I guess I could also mention my Angry Birds canopy ordered January 8th is a few weeks behind schedule too( but that isn't keeping it grounded). Just delays and warranty issues and things being shipped overseas, and shipping delays because of weather.

Those 3 flights were really good and I'm very hopeful that I'll get much enjoyment out of my 550SX over the course of the year. I'm just really glad that most of this happened over some pretty poor weather and during the Winter

To a much better Spring!!!!!!

Be happy your fancy canopy wasn't around in time to get crunched.
