I can't imagine anyone being dissappointed with this transmitter.

The only caveat I would have is that it is an advanced transmitter. I think you really already have to know how a transmitter typically operates and then how YOU want yours to operate. While some transmitters come out of the box with functionality preset and inflexible, everything on this transmitter can be mapped anyway you like it, and very little is preset by default. So there is more learning curve and more setup before you are ready to fly.

I'm not rushing this process, and I hope to enjoy the whole setup and get to know it inside and out to make sure I'm not missing out on anything really cool

Really really! ( I think I'm overusing that word a bit )
I wonder if we should set up post where people can post their set ups. There is a folder call 'Model' on your radio that contains the model set up files. There is also a folder called 'Audio' that has wave files used for sounds. We could post these files and then be able to copy them to your radio. Of course you would have to be very careful with file names so you don't wipe out the files on your radio. You should always back up you files before doing anything out of the ordinary anyway.

Please respond to this post if you think this is a good idea and I'll set up a sticky post.

Sounds good to me.

I think examples would be interesting to many as there is a lot to take in.

I used to be into video a bit so I have a pile of sound effects that I've already loaded on mine

I am all for that too, but be careful with sounds, the German forum is saying that Ivona sound are copywrited . They have to delete any that is posted if I understood it well with google proximative translation.

Do you have the link? Keep in mind German copy right is pretty extreme. Still most other countries are OK with it as of my experience.

OK - I see. That does not say all sound tracks are illigal or not allowed to be shared. This part is related to copyright of sound tracks created with the IVONA tools. Reason is that IVONA license agreement only allows the personal use of the sound tracks created with their tools.

So that does not mean sharing sound tracks in general would not be legal. However whatever gets shared should be done based on copyright.

Info posted in R C G R O U P S from Esprit indicates that the second batch has shipped from them out to customers so if you didn't receive any comms from them then you're still in the queue. The third batch of 40 units should be shipping from Jeti next should be ready to go out from Esprit sometime after the 18th.

I read it as the 2nd batch is in route and held up at customs. Batch 3 after Joe Nall. If you have been asked to pay in full then your radio ships after they get released from customs.

I see, I missed that detail, good pick up.
Either way, if you haven't heard from Esprit then you are in Batch 3, which includes me I think
I paid in full 2 months ago, my choice.

Default Has your DS-16 shipped?

Today I received this email:

"Hello,

I will email you at the end of this week about the balance, your order should be shipped next week."

Even if it comes the week after at least I know it's not going to be a couple of months. Looks good to me

Watched one of the videos on how they make the radios. What is the point of milling the case out of a solid block of aluminum? Seems like a waste of a lot of metal.
