Logo 700 Xxtreme Build Pictures

Just got mine completely built last night. I was wondering why there's no build thread thus far. After building mine, I realize there simply not much to say about the build. This is by far the simplest built I ever have.This is also my very first Logo. I am looking forward to the maiden if the weather cooperate.

There are two things to mention:
1. The motor mounting screw (M4 x 10mm) is a tad too long. It does not touch the winding but cracked the protective sheet on mine. I added extra washer to off set it a bit. M4 x 8mm should work a lot better.
2. One of the ReadyHeli reps had the tail boom support came loose at the tail end (horizontal fin mount) in flight. Make sure the screws have enough bit or use a longer ones.

The tips by Dave and Jesse are super helpful.

The weather is not cooperating here in the NW. While the Logo 700 is sitting on the shelf, it got few changes. Looks like I may be able to maiden it today.
1. Lunsford titanium turnbuckle - Punisher 3mm x 1 7/8 in. Thanks for the tips Wayne.

2. vBar sensor is mounted at the bottom plate behind the battery. A 49mm x 59mm carbon plate is used as the base.

Excellent build and I'll be looking into the scorpion backup guard. Sounds like a great idea. Liking the turnbuckles, too! Why did you decide to put the sensor on the bottom plate? Nothing wrong just curious if more advantageous.

Almost wish I had done my vert fin colors yellow on orange. But then you would have probably done orange on yellow and I'd have liked that better. Ha! Looks killer, man.

Lol. I thought yours were yellow on orange when I did mine.

Per the sensor an the bottom, mainly because I am from the Trex camp. Tail boom mount tends to have the worst vibe on most Trex (if not all).

Interesting. Never occurred to me. I did hot glue a small bead on the plate as the directions even said this plate might have play in it. It seems rock solid but haven't looked at the vibes in the vbar menu. Anybody done that at all? To see where the least amount of vibes are on the 700? Wonder if Dave has tried different spots? The plate seems a little crowded. Up there.

Kyle has always mounted the sensor on the top plate, and we've never experimented with other locations. The top plate location works, and that's all we need to know

Hot glue has no adhesive quality. I used some small dabs on edge of tray of 5min epoxy. I've also suggested that comment on hot glue be taken out of manual as is not close to being sufficient.

shoe goo works very well. Won't crack and has a bit of flex.

Can someone post a close pic of the boom supports connected to the boom.. I can't figer out how the 3x5x2 brass spacer is installed

No picture, but I can tell you the spacer goes between the ball and the metal boom support that wraps around the boom. It is there to keep the plastic ball link from touching or binding on the boom support.

Shoe Goo is what I used for very same reason. Great adhesion to carbon and yet it remains somewhat flexible and won't crack over time.

Hot Glue WORTHLESS. It has no adhesive properties what so ever. Medium CA will work, but it will crack over time from vibration as it creates a brittle joint.

I just received my Logo 700 XXTreme combo. It came with standard Edge FLYBAR blades, not flybarless blades. This seems like a mistake to me. What blades did you guys get in your kits? Flybar, flybarless, or SE flybarless? Thanks.

According to the manual it says that the 700 should not be operated bellow 0 °C. Seriously?! Has Mikado done research and testing on the temperature range? Where I live, the temperatures easily drops bellow 0 °C in the winter time.

Also, the manual says that the maximum pitch range is +/- 12 degrees. Why is this, and what are people running?

I have flown down to about 40F and the heli would bump in hard cyclic stops. The dampening is so hard and in those temps the dampeners get harder since they are rubber. So I see why the temp warning.

I run +13.2 to -13.2. No issue whatsoever.
