Default DX9 adjustments for using Scorpion Motor

What adjustments do I need to make on my DX9 after dropping in a Scorpion HKII-2208-24 motor to my 300X? I can only get about 50% power. It has a 12 pt pinion

You might look into calibrating the throttle endpoints, but if you're using the stock ESC I doubt they would have changed. It's possible I suppose, however unlikely. In any case, that's the only thing I can think of that would affect the range of throttle input from the transmitter side. Of course your throttle curves play into that, but I'm going to assume you know about that. I've flown one with the stock ESC and that motor and found it to be a little on the weak side, but definitely flyable. I don't recall which pinion the guy had on it though.

By comparison, the Scorpion 2213-14 is 330W and the Lynx EOX 2214 is 435W. The Scorpion 2208-24 is 220W, so you can see it's a good deal less powerful that what most people are running for a performance setup. I don't think that's the problem, but I just want to make sure you understand it's not going to be a rocket ship with that motor.
