Default naza-m lite f450

I just built an f450 put naza m lite with the gps module on it. It flys great, goes into all the flight modes correctly. My question is in GPS mode how long should it take to lock on to a position? When I let off the sticks it kind of searches for its position. It will then lock on and stay in its position. It will kind of "searches" for its position, then locks on after a couple seconds. Is this normal?

Not sure what you are describing. If you are moving with any speed, and you release the sticks, momentum will carry you past the spot the GPS noted, and it will try to get back (not very hard or very far tho). In Att mode, it is sometimes surprising just how far momentum will carry the bird after it is level!

But if you are saying that you fly into position, and stop where you want, then it should stay there. Unless you are flipping into the GPS mode when you arrive at that spot. It might take a second or two to orient and record the spot. Leave GPS on while you fly into position to increase it's accuracy, at the expense of the smoothness you get when flying in Att.
