Anyone have a V5 file for an otherwise standard carbon Protos?
Just looking for gain figures to start playing with as this is my first FBL 500 after FBL 250s and 450s.
I honestly don't have a clue

Question newbie question

so, the beastx acts as a gyro and flybarless unit?

also, could i use one of these SPMAR7200BX 7CH DSMX & BeastX Flybarless Control System on a protos? this way i have gyro + flybarless unit + receiver ...

With the BX you do not need a Gyro. The BX IS a Gyro. 3 Axis Gyro. You can even disable the FBL and use it as a standard tail Gyro. Not sure if you can use another tail gyro with it tho. You can disable the FBL function, but don;t think you can disable the tail gyro function from what I remember. So it would conflict with a standalone gyro

So far I am loving it! Have on my mini protos and it's great, Put 1 on my p500 and need to change some settings, made some changes and had to do a few emergency autos, found my belt was badly worn so haven't had time to dial in yet. Hopefully today. Was looking here to see if anyone posted some settings for it. Guess all the info still on brain forum.

LOVE the brain on the Protos - Freakin Awesome.

I attached my latest Brain file - please don't use it! look at it if you like, copy the "tune" settings even, but don't try and upload it and fly, you'll crash. Too many setup variables.

Brain works great on my T700 too - not only does it fly awesome - it's immune to vibration - (something my T700 has had issues with since new)

I used one on my 450 and decided it wasn't up to scratch to try on my Prôtos. I hope you have good luck with yours.

My Protos is proudly flying a CX 3x1000 flashed to ZYX 3.5 firmware. I'm using Spektrum, though, not Futaba. The FBL controller works very well, and even though I like the Brain better, I have no plans in changing out the 3x-ZYX on my Protos.

Word of warning: This FBL controller is extremely sensitive to static and the Protos is a static monster. Take extra precautions by grounding your tail to the motor mount and keeping the belt lubed up with silicone anti-static spray.

Dont have any issue with Beastx and my P500 until now. Everything is running smoothly.
I recommend you guy should use one of famous FBL units like Brain/iKon, BeastX, Vbar or Skookum...You really get what you pay for!!!

I see some files for the Vbar 5.X and Protos here but can't open them. Is this a file you put onto you Vbar via PC?
