Hobbywing Brushless RPM Sensor
Anyone know what kind of a signal this puts out?
Is it one pulse per rev ? Perhaps with a 33% duty cycle ? I'm thinking of connecting it to an Arduino to measure the heli's headspeed. Comments ??

It is simple digital, one pulse per phase 0-cross. So motor RPM will depend on pole count. You dont need to worry about duty cycle- just capture rising or falling edge if the Arduino is capable of that (or do you have to use polling?). Do beware that the signal can be corrupted just as a function of how these motors work- so it will make sense to do a lot of averaging, etc.
