Default Is this still useable?

I was stupid enough to use a bearing with a metal cage to get in the air again quickly but after
several months decided to break down and as a result trowing metal parts into the engine.

So if i sand it down just enough to get the most of the rough spots out.. could it do any harm or create any hot spots?

If you remove all the rough it will be good again, however you must be careful, because you may lower the compression ratio by removing too much material from the chamber.

Thanks... and yes i know.
I'll try to find someone who can turn it down on a lathe over the complete area.

Smile .

Put an old plug in it and chuck up in a drill. Use some 220 sand paper then a little polishing compound. It will look like new in no time.
