Default Imax B6, storage & discharge rates ?

I have a Imax B6 charger (original) and have a question about the storage and discharge settings as the manual gives no information to finer points.

First , in discharge mode I see the voltages only go so high for a corresponding cell count battery, but the amps only go up to 1.0A in .1 increments. So where would one set the amps for say a 3S 11.1 2200mah battery ?

Second the storage mode, the voltages go up to the given cell count voltage, but again the amps only go to 1,0A and again in .1 increments.

Basicaly , I need to understand the amps I'm suppose to be using.

If someone could explain please.

I Storage to 3.85V/cell. And really never need to Discharge to below there, for my purposes.

Don't worry about the amps. I think the B6 has a 5W discharge limit. So a 3S battery will mean the max amps will be around 0.4 no matter what you say it to.

Even without the 5W limit, you are draining it during flight at over 10A. So even if the charger could discharge at 5A, that would be fine.

I am assuming you are talking about bringing the packs down, not charging then up. If you want, set the current to what you would charge at. If you are below the target voltage, it will charge at the current you set. If you are above the target voltage, it will discharge at around 0.4A.

I don't see the need for charging up to storage level unless the packs are going in long term storage (over 6 months). I just fly to 20%-30% remaining and put them into storage.

For discharging, most likely you will hit the charger's limit well before you get close to the pack's max discharge rate. Just set it the max and wait. Light bulbs make must faster work of that job.

Got it, and thank you, I just wanted to make sure I wasnt doing anything wrong. I occasionally charge the packs in advance and have a 'oops' moment with the heli, causing me to wait up to a month to get parts and having some packs at full charge. Thus the need to bring down the packs safely for storage.
