Default Weird solution to a "dead" 3n1 - in case others have reached the endpoint

My initial problem with my 3n1 was posted in this thread so I won't go into full details here. Bascially, bind was fine, everything worked, but no motor spin. Never read that anywhere.

https://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=513636

After troubleshooting with HH on the phone it was determined that the 3n1 was bad. (I had already made up my mind it was that before I called them due to my own troubleshooting.)

I finally got the 3n1 replacement in the mail, did a quick 10 mins. swap out and THE SAME SYMPTOMS!!!!

Now what? I was dreading sending the entire heli in. I don't have other BNF models available to test as now I'm thinking it is the Tx (DX7s). I know that I have saved the Nano profile onto the SD card so I reset the slot and reloaded the profile from the SD card. No go.

OK, let me load the profile into an unused slot. No go again! So just for grins, I used an empty slot from scratch and just program it as a simple heli. WTF??? It works!

Solution was that I had to reset my Nano slot and re-enter all the parameters by hand again and now she flies!

I believe this is a fluke since I have been using the Tx for over 6 months with no problems. Even if I send it back to HH, they probably won't be able to reproduce it. And if they can't reproduce it they can't fix it.

So just another data point for those of you whave reached the end of the road on fixing 3n1 "problems". Maybe one last thing to try with an empty slot if you are experiencing similar symptons as I was.

I have a new 130x sitting on my table that I haven't gotten time to get to (I know, I know, I don't have my priorities straight ) but that will be added to the DX7s and I'll monitor going forward. I'm not concerned at this point.

That's the weird part. There were no bad bind! 10 for 10, I had a solid bind!

I am pretty sure that if you had a bad bind, resetting and entering everything back in manually will NOT solve the problem. I'm telling my experience for those who may have similar symptoms. I have not read any posts on the internet that details this.

I ask because mine will act that way if my TX is too close to the nano when I power it on. Everything works but the motors. Can't remember what the LED does at this point for sure, but it does not go solid blue like it should. Unplug nano, move tx across room, plug nano back in and everything is fine. Same issue gave me fits with my initial bind. Kind of annoying but easy to work around.

I've heard of the new model slot thing working before.
