Default Clunk Lines Lenght?

Hi,

How long should the clunk line be? does it have to reach the end of the tank of not?

Got my first mishap on this heli. I was flying inverted and the engine stops, suspect is there is no fuel in the line. Tank is full, there is fire in the plug.

Long story, I need a new set of Carburetor.

If you're using stock parts, the manual states 85mm. I'm using aftermarket clunk and connector, so I started with the line a little long and kept trimming until the clunk was free to move in the tank when I moved it all different directions. I didn't record the length!

As long as you hit the top and bottom and the sides the length doesn't matter. the length then only dictates if the clunk is closer to the front or rear of the tank.

Are you running an aux tank?

Yes... And I do not understand why the engine stops when I have a Aux tank.

Is the engine tuned correctly?

This could be a sign your running too rich. The excess fuel will cause your glow plug to flame out when you flip to inverted.

You know I flew this heli for 3 flights that last weekend before the crash and nothing happened and now that I have change the throttle servo and this thing happened.

I think the endpoints was not set up right. The heli flies very nice, I ended up taking this more often than my electrics. I just hope the price of 30% went down alot. $30. lol.

I have followed the manual saying turn the needle 1 1/2 turn and all I did was fiddle with air and fuel mixture. Turning it CW 1/4 at time to get rid of the excess fuel.

Yeah, you need to reset your endpoints for sure.
