Vlad, these packs are quite heavy, will take some agility from the bird.
1800 is the max reasonable size pack, most run 1300-1400.

Hello
Whats the maximum length the battery can have to fit under the canopy? I plan to use packs with 111mm length... would they fit? Thanks, Michael

Hey,
You have to drill new holes in the canopy for sure. I use the 1800mAh 6S and 2200mAh 5S blue Turnigy packs. I don't know their dimensions by heart and hobbyking is offline at the moment. So you can look it up afterwards... As far as I can tell they juuuust fit in their. But maybe you can get more space under the hood if you drill the holes in the canopy even further to the back. Soko

The 1800mAh 6S is 113mm. My pack is not as thick as this one, so maaaybe its a fit.
Drilling new holes ain't a problem though. CG should be good because they are ~255g. Thanks for your help.

What you can do is, make a box, the size of the battery, and try to fit it. |

Yeah, the thing is: I don't have the warp yet. I currently fly a mini protos which is slowly falling apart. So I am looking out for a worthy replacement as I would like to try something new instead of buying a new protos kit.
But I would like to use my batteries from the mini protos because they are still good in shape and I have too many of them

Re: Warp 360 6s Battery choice:(sticky plz)
My lipos are 278 and I redrill. It's just better in the front position. Canopy goes on easily. It didn't in the original holes.

Warp 360 6s Battery choice:(sticky plz)
So will the pulse 1350mAh 6S 35C - ULTRA POWER Lipos get you correct COG on a stock warp with stock tail and stock canopy? Or are the borderline light?
Thanks |

I've only had two flights on my Warp with these batteries. I bought the Turnigy 1800 6S 40C batteries. They fit just fine, but I used the outermost hole on the canopy. I haven't tried it on the other holes.

No, I only have the 1800mah batteries. I follow this thread, and I haven't remembered to post the batteries I'm using until you brought it to the top.
However, looking at the specs.... Pulse: 107mm X 33mm X 34mm Turnigy: 113mm X 34mm X 39mm So I don't see how the Pulse would keep from fitting. I am using the back set of holes though, and I haven't added any weight, so I can't comment on the COG. I know the COG is very close with no added weight and the battery I'm using. Oh ok gotcha. Thanks. I read the whole thread and wasn't quite sure if the Pulse 1350's where heavy enough. I like a light heli so didn't want to go too heavy on the pack. And I wanted to be able to use the stock canopy without drastically moving the canopy forward. I'm using Gens Ace 1200 that weight 175 grams and have to move them forward A LOT! So much that I can't use the stock canopy. Using this big TDR looking canopy which is quite heavy. IT's HUGE! That's what she said.

Well... since I didn't really get much feed back about being able to use the Pulse 1350's and the stock canopy (And Not Moving the Canopy Forward) I think I might try the Giant Power 1300's 25 or 35C. Both similar in weight and their shape seems to allow putting more weight, more forward to help with COG.

I can only tell for a stick shaped pack that you will need a minimum of 240g battery weight.
I am using 6S 1500mAh 35C (Swaytronic) and 6S 1400mah 40C (Gens Ace) batteries both around 250g and I still had to drill new holes into the stock canopy for perfect COG. I do have the heavier Scorpion motor in my Warp though, so it might be better with the stock motor which ist a few grams lighter. It also depends on the ESC and how far forward its mounted. In my case I am using an Koby 55lv and have it as far forward as possible. And also I run the internal BEC. If you have an external BEC it also helps for COG. Hope this helps.
