Default Gaui X7 V2

I stumbled across these pictures from back in 2013.

Is Gaui ever gonna release an X7 V2? Is it in the works? Right now the only bad feature of the X7 is the lack of Kosmik mounting, and some would say the battery mounting. A new frame like below would be amazing, it looks insane! Maybe one of the Gaui reps here can comment

Hey Guys,

This was not GAUI working on this set up. This was done by Chance at RCMania for Speed. I don't think the demand was there for them to produce it.

I liked;

- the canopy.

I hated,

- the skids (really?)
- stick battery tray
- tiny little boom braces

If I would change anything on X7, it would be the FBL location. I would like to put it in front of the motor.

Yeah if they do make a X7 V2 (which I'm sure they will eventually) I hope they don't go to the stick packs. I like the 2 individual packs side by side.

They are easier to work with (charging and transporting). Plus it allows you to share packs with say a plane or single 6s heli.

But if there was one thing I'd like them to change it'd probably be fbl unit location. I had a mini Vbar on mine for a while and now a full size, and man is it tight in between the frames. An I know that skinny frame is why they are so rigid and strong, but a couple millimeters would make a big difference

The main thing I want is the ability to mount a Kosmik! Can't do it currently unless you cut the canopy or mount it on the side, both of which are dodgy options I think

I was a big fan of the saddle packs, but since getting my Protos Max V2 I've learned to like the slide in stick packs a little better. Just faster not having to mess with straps every time. Time difference is not that big a deal however.

I mounted my FBL under the tail boom (upside down). Rx sits on the bottom right behind the batteries. This puts the ESC/FBL/Rx connections all within inches of each other, and everything is hidden from view. I use BT (WiFi soon) so never need to access the plugs anyway.

Do you guys really think Gaui will come out with an X7 V2??? Seems pretty quiet on the X7 front to me.
