Default c05 work?

Thinking about getting a nano...don't know anything about it..

Will a c05 from an mcpx project fit /work....does brushless main motors require better tail or extended tail or both..

I don't wanna go crazy on this like I dud with my 4 MCPXs. Lol

Thx

Vinny

If it did fit, I don't know how you would mount it.

There is no bottom plate on a Nano so you wouldn't have any way to secure the motor unless you made something.

Hmmm....thanks for the info

How does the inrunner stay locked into the barrel seems like it slides in...I'm sure I'm missing something since I don't have one to paw at........

As far as a c05..... if one can be installed succesfully....is it worth it?

Too much weight....not powerful enough compared to the motors that would fit with In without hassle?....have to use an xp7 I'm sure...but wanted to put it out there to see what yi u guys think

Default not worth it

I would say it is not worthe the extra work before they came out with the drop in fit motor I had used this to install my motors...I put one on an co5 and it did fit but the shaft I have replaced with the 1.5mm to fit in my mcpx so now it is to short for the nano....

Default maybe

i was playing with this same idea a while ago, since I had a brushless mcpx with this exact motor, but I didn't find a good way to mount the motor. Maybe this could be done if you modified the bottom plate somehow, maybe with a piece od carbon fiber plate and then some screws, but I think also the motor shaft is not long enough to reach the main gear. Anyway, in the end i decided to just buy a new direct fit motor and a new esc, and i have just put it together today and it rocks, it's much better than stock with the 135000 Kv and a 8 tooth pinion.

then the question is the weight penalty of motor/esc etc worth it..

for me...i can save 20 some odd dollars since I have the motor laying around...thoughts?
