Well the new year started off well.

The basic and cyclic setups are done!

This is the most accurate setup. Positive and negative pitch was dead equal and zero pitch was perfect!

The wiring is definitely a challenge and will likely be pretty fugly!

New pic

Nice!!
Yes this heli is a bit challenging regarding to wiring, but a extra clean wiring is possible if you wish.

I've routed servo wires below electronics tray, and my SK servo plugs side is at the front. The length of servo wires was just enough to do that. Still need to shorten that satellite wire. You'll need to find a special USB cable with 90degree angle connector to access SK usb port.

Well, I finally got a chance to finish up the build.

I have ordered a 90 degree usb cable and will flip the controller the opposite way.

Cog is really close.

A spool up and tiny hover had me worried as this heli was so quiet....

If the stars align the first flight will be done tonight at our indoor flying session!

Fugly wiring pics....

I'm pretty sure the electric waves in your setup will get confused with that wiring style

Forgive my joke

This heli is a bit trickier to wire, that's for sure. Be creative is the best tip i can give you.
some opened a hole in the electronic tray to pass the cables from underneath, i preferred to totally cut the tray end (the one with those pass through holes), and it's just enough for the cables pass underneath all the tray and enter the gyro, plugs to the front.

It will keep you busy on the next rainy/snowing day

Wish I could have made it this evening to help you ... the heli-gods were definitely not on my side this evening ... worse yet, I suspect my wife through out my Bluetooth adapter for the Compass TracX that I had bought.

I've just ordered a new one, but I won't see it for at least a few weeks.

Good luck, buddy ...

Oh, my freaking goodness!

This heli is going to get a lot of light time!

Flawless maiden!

I only had to adjust the front servo to swash linkages by one turn each to get a perfect hover.

I actually had to drop the tail gain just a bit.

By the end of the second battery I was yearning for some open air and let it open up a little... Kinda hard to do flips and such indoors...

This is an epic model!

After a long wait from China my 90 degree USB cables finally arrived.

I moved the sk540 180 degrees and squeezed the cables for the throttle and aux power under the esc tray and tiedied up the wires quite a bit.

I reprogrammed the controller for the new orientation and everything checks out!

A little more wire tidying and I will post some pic's of the heli.

It all looks and fits good now.

Now if only the temperature would get above -10c and I can consider some outdoor flying. I am hoping by July that we will be warm enough to get outside.

Well for what it is worth everything is done!

I got all the wires re routed and cleaned up a little more and the tail grounded. I show electrical continuity from any bolt on the grame to the bolts holding the side plates on the tail.

Good enough for me!

Final pics...

Big update!

The first nice day outside in 6 months and the warp got to stretch its legs in open air.

AWESOME MACHINE!!!!!!!!!

Wow, put my Atom 500 to shame.

It felt so good I even tried hovering inverted!
