Maidened my Night Magic blades
Maidened my Night Magic 600 Orange/Blue blades along with the Edge 105mm night blades this evening.... these are awesome blades. First flight was at dusk to make sure the Heli didn't have any bad reactions. All was well- so the next three were as the night got progressively darker. Very nice blades, and they look simply fantastic in the sky. This was my first time on the sticks at night, so I was a bit edgy, but by the fourth flight I was really having some fun. The orange LEDs are really really bright, and the blue LEDS are dimmer but still pretty darn good. I wish they made Orange/Green blades- I think that would be the perfect combination. I had a full 5 1/2 minutes of playlist (46 graphics, 21 animations) for the maiden, and the crowd that gathered were cheering up a storm.
Definitely need some LEDs on the canopy, struts, and boom- but all in all these blades make the heli quite visible and orientation wasn't much of an issue. The Edge tails make a nice bright blue/white disk which really shows well. Flew three 6+ minute flights, and the blades indicated they were still at 60%. Sorry I don't have pics or video- I'll get some the next time out.

You flew without lighting your helicopter just your blades? If so they must be bright.

The graphics on these blades have a fixed orientation relative to the helicopter, so you always know which way is forward. In this case, he's also got night tails to help with orientation. It's not that difficult to fly with only mains and tails visible. Takes some getting used to, but that's really all you need to see.

Here's some photos of the Night Magic blades- no video yet as my phone just doesn't do night video well.
A brushed DC ESC controls/dims the canopy & boom LEDs.
