This is where Kosmik is your best friend. On 14S the 750 -56 with 20t is at the sweet spot of 2600HS at Kosmik preferred 80% throttle.
For speed you do not want to run governed, and as close to wide open as possible. The 750-50 with a 20t pinion puts you here:

Throttle 60%: 1754
Throttle 65%: 1901
Throttle 70%: 2047
Throttle 75%: 2193
Throttle 80%: 2339
Throttle 85%: 2485
Throttle 90%: 2632

Same calculator,
http://heli.dacsa.net/calcv3/Default.aspx

My point is why run goverened when you are just working the ESC harder.

WHAT main gear tooth count are you using for the Diabolo S?

Santiago.

If you want to go full throttle, by all means and the 17t will be perfect for the 2600HS.

On 12S I am using 20t which will give me 2600 at 100% throttle.
When switching to 14S, I just need to run on 80% to get the targeted HS of 2600 as well without having to change pinion.

Thanks buddy, have seen way too many cells dropped on Revo packs after 2-3 months of use, hence I am staying away from them.

Just soldered up my new Revo 60C packs yesterday - have been in the box for about a year but even so disappointed one cell dead and another at 2.7V so out of 4 7S packs only 2 usable !

Should be the same as the Diabolo I presumed as it uses the same gears.

The 1s stage is the same, but I AM NOT SURE if the metal gear is the same as the Diabolo.

Is the tooth count the same as the Diabolo?
thanks

Anyone knows for sure the tooth count on the S?

I have a Scorpion 4540-550 that I though was too high kv for 14S, but according to you guys it should be ok for about 80% governed speed with the Kosmik.

Is that correct?

Santiago

I have put in the 4535LE 550 kV Santiago and clocked 2300 yesterday at 80% throttle with a 19t pinion so certainly seems in the ball park!

I have noticed with Mr Mel's that scorpion motors are always slower than predicted and pyro motors are always faster than predicted. Not sure how this works out.

Pyro comp runs just as hot.
Just thought I let you know as it is a deviation from the cool running pyro reputation we are all used too.

Maybe it is just the black colour of the comp series that makes them run HOT.
