It's looking better and better every time you post some pictures! To be able to move the wings, it must need a bretty big servo? You'll need something that is smoother that just a switch for the 2 wing position?

No servo's. i'll be using a custom designed and machined jack screw system... I've got to get the aft wing box bulkhead swing cutout dimension correct so i can get a few dimensions then i'll be drawing that up in solidworks and will post pictures.

Their will be a flying model built, but not what you see. What you are seeing, will be the plugs used to make a set of molds, in which the flying model will be made from.

Well for everytime you see the fuselage "jigged" up, i've probably had it that way 5 times previously. From the last set of photo's, i've already had the fuselage back off the jig and back on 3 times. And i've got atleast 1 more time to do it again.

Not much progress today.. But after about 2 hours of aligning the fuselage formers, i finally got started on the planking. took about an hour and a half to get 6 1/2" wide planks on, so its going to be a looonnnggg process. Plus, i have to start back to work tomorrow, so its gonna take a bit longer. Not to mention i have to cut all of those 1/2" wide strips out of the 4" wide sheets i have.

Here's a little update on the progress so far today. Cut up 8 sheets of balsa into 1/2" wide planks to prepare for planking the fuselage. Did a bit more work to the nose section planking up to just below the canopy frame (still have to adjust the canopy plug bulkheads for the sheeting thickness). Then started working on the top aft portion of the fuselage and the inlets. Here's a few pictures, I should have a few more later this evening.
