Some can like the head. All the rest use my Trex450 SE and SEV2 videos. The sport basically has the frames and tail of the 450 SE.

It probably can if you include the swash, washout, etc from the Pro. The ball spacing I believe is different from the swash up so to keep the same mix ratios you need probably need the swash and all parts on up.

It should work. I have not tried it myself but I do not see why it would not. You will need a V2 main shaft as I do not think the collar-less Pro main shaft will work.

Default Thank you.

Thank you so very much - you have made my introduction to flying 100 times easier than going at it alone. You have most likely saved me $100's in parts and hours in time. Owe you a cold one. Thanks again.

I just built a $30.00 HK clone using the align manual for pitch and throttle curves. It worked ok. Then I set it up using all of Bob's videos and this bird is 110% better now. Bob you are fantastic and if any one ever has any duobts about there set up they really need to watch these videos. Thank you so much for your time and effort put into each one oof these build videos.

What radio? Bottom line gain controls when it is in HH or rate mode.
Spektrum radios anything below 50 in the gyro menu put it in rate mode. Futaba gain with a negative number is rate more (or if gyro menu is set AVCS)

what i mean is how do you set up revo mixing? and what is it, and do you just set the gain like you would for hh mode?

oh btw i got a funny gyro its a 401 and when i fly at 62 gain in the dx7 it wags like crazzzzy and i have to drop it to like 57 to get it to stop but when i do a punchout it dosent hold and i have no idea what is causing this

Revo mixing is not used when using a gyro - disable it.

Low quality servos can cause the problem you describe, as can any other problem with the tail system like bendy pushrods, loose mounts, loose belts, etc. Low head speed contributes to the issue. Also aggressive throttle curves can cause the gyro to lose it on a punchout, especially the 401. If it is a Futaba 401, it needs to be paired with a quality servo - if it's a knock-off 401, that becomes even more important. Post your settings and information about your setup - maybe we will see something.

Hey Gang,
Been awhile since I've flown my helis, but getting back to it a bit...Have a Trex450 SE, and I have some parts, but I needed a tail shaft to rebuild the tail, and I go to my LHS who had everything 450 2 years ago, and now they don't have hardly anything...No main blades, no tail parts, nothing....Everybody has gone to 500's the clerk said....Did Align stop making parts for the 450SE? Am I chasing something that I can't find? Do I need to pack the other Trex450SE kit away and save it for a few more years to sell on Ebay as an "antique out-of-date" kit? Where does evrybody get tail parts for their 450's? After reading Bob's Ramblings rant, I got the itch to fly the 450 again, and now finding parts has become an issue...Does this mean the big brown truck is going to become my best friend?
Any ideas would help...
Thanks!

After a 3 year hiatus, I got my trusty old, battered but rebuilt Trex450SE into the air this afternoon....Hovered 4 packs out with no crashes....Been doing lots with the sim and the CX2 and Mcpx in the house...Question....Why when doing my first ever piros with the 450, did the bird climb about 3-4 feet, and then when I made it snap to the left, it lost about 2-3 feet of altitude? Is there something I'm missing in the set-up, or was it nervous fingers on the collective increasing it or decreasing it? Got a 401 gyro and a mild normal pitch curve programmed (-3 -1.5 0 +5 +10 ) with a Finless Bob throttle curve in normal mode as well...
Any ideas?
Thanks!
