1. Till it stops, no need to over tighten, it should move freely and not have any lateral movement
2. I don't normally use any, can't see some hurting anything tho, too much and it just fly off

Default swash ball.......

The swash ball is a bit stiff or is that normal on the mini?...I was thinking of greasing it, would that be ok?...
currently done with the
1. FBL rotor head ...(pg 23-26)...and
2.Tail sec - (pg 27-29)

Swash plate might be tight because its new, should not be gritty, I wouldn't grease it.
Did you use short balls on inner swash, it's pretty much a must do.

I think you meant outer swash. The inner swash always gets the standard short balls. Standard short balls work better than the long fbl balls on outer swash for getting needed cyclic throws fbl

Yes standard balls on outer swash and 15mm cyclic servo ball distance on the servo horns. This is a must do !

My build has hit a snag 2day with the tail sec.
1. pg 34: my kit has only 3 BB 3x6x2.5 instead of 4.
2.pg 30: I dont know whether this is a defect in design, when I inserted the tail shaft wt the pin into the tail pulley, the tail shaft is not perpendiculary straight to the tail pulley and bcoz of this, I can't get the tail shaft bushing halfway inserted into the the tail pulley.

1. Get lots if those bearings, they wear out quickly and need replacing often.

2. Sounds like the pulley isn't square? Pic? When you get the bearings grab an Alu pulley too, hehe.

already emailed my LHS on this. As for the shaft, pin and pulley, if I inserted tha shaft w/o inserting the pin into the pulley, it came out straight.

Could be the shaft is drilled at an angle for the pin or could just be some flashing in the slot in the pulley where the pin seats. Scrape it out with an exacto. Aluminum pulley is what I prefer!

From my close observation, it looks like the hole (on the tail shaft)where the pin goes is not actually at the center of the shaft.

If like this I would suggest to replace the shaft and contact your LHS (already done, I know) for replacement.

They are very strong, but Main gear/pulley bolts and tail fins are the most prone to get broken, everything else will depend on the crash.

Tail blade grip bearings every 30-50 flights
I've had some last 100 flights, others only 20. Prolly depends on hs.
As soon as the tail does something unexpected its time to change them.

Edited: added keyword "bearings"

I think he means tail grips bearings - the stock ones are rubbish and a waste of time replacing them with more stock ones. Just get good ones from your miniature bearings supplier - they last a long time then.

Default flighing with belt twisted

... flew some dozen flights with a rather queasy feeling because of some unidentifiable noises - but i ignored them and slapped my mini over the place for days...

up to this morning - detecting the belt was running with theeth ooutside (!!!) over main gear and pinion all the time, (but not over tailrotor-gear...) - but the machine flew like always - unbelievable...

i have no explanation how this could happen, i did some replacements at the tail some weeks ago, but it is not easy to twist the belt twice at that point unindentently and noteless ...

Sometimes you really should have a look into those noises
