Aluminum vs. Plastic Case
Hi all,
I am considering a 700 build and my first choice of servos currently is the MKS 665/669. I see there is a set of ProTek (250S/T) that are basically the same price. I am fairly new, but I have MKS on my Atom and have had zero issue. One of the things that look nice on the aluminum case is it doesn't have the extra support molded into the top (I am sure I'll use servo grommets regardless, but still...). So I guess my question is really more of a "which of these sets it better" than an aluminum vs plastic case discussion. However, if all things were considered equal, is the aluminum case worth the extra cost? |

I'd would consider what you plan on using as the power source to be my deciding factor. MKS are some of the most efficient out there and have always worked well with becs in my experience. I haven't tried the protek cyclics but the tail was ok. The proteks in a 700 will likely require a more hefty source according to reports of those who have
