Unfortunately I couldn't really hear the servos very well - it does look as if you can't get full cyclic at full collective, but it looks like you have a lot of cyclic - have you measured the throws?

Sorry I can't be more helpful

Anybody else feel like the collective pitch is slow to respond, has high latency or something? I read on RCG that increasing the cyclic max rate might help - haven't had a chance to try it yet, but thought I'd check here for feedback as well. I'm using HS65's on a 450pro / dfc head, by the way.

The HS-65mgs aren't the fastest at 4.8v anyways. Are you on 6v?
I just took the 65's off my 450, and even at 6v they were a lil sluggish (the 5065's aren't any faster)

My 9650's on my 500 are fast as shit on 6v with the Robird. But you can try turning up the agility rate, just mind the stop rate as well. The higher the agility the more prone it will be to bouncy stops..especially on the elevator (using slower servos).

Also, the HS65s are analog servos. You should run some quality digital servos like the KST215MGs.

Thanks for the suggestions, gents. Gotta looking at procuring a step-down for my tail so I can turn up the voltage. Either way, I'll probably stick with these servos for this bird and let the next one be the money pit.

Well this is weird.

If I set the throttle to -100 & +100 Linear 0 25 50 75 100 its fine. BUT once I set the the IDLE 1 up to a flat 85 85 85 85 85 the RECEIVER screen in setup read throttle end points read 70.

If I set IDLE 2 to a FLAT 100 it actually reads 100 in the RECEIVER tab....

How do I fix this?

It sound as if the RECEIVER tab is showing you the Pitch value ...

0 stick = -100% pitch
25 = -50% pitch
50% = 0% pitch
75% = +50% pitch
100% = +100% pitch

for each 5% of stick travel you get 10% pitch, so 85% stick is +70% pitch

What you are seeing is just the translation of scale. Your Tx displays from -100 to +100 but the software shows from 0 to +100.

Lighty:

Did you set your Throttle Endpoints when setting up your ESC?

Are you using the Governor on the G31?

OK

My TX Throttle travel is at 103 - 102%, this reads -100 & 100 in the GUI.

TX flat curve is 100 it read 100 in the GUI.
TX flat curve 95 reads 90 in the GUI. Gothic so what your saying it's showing it as a scale? Weird for them to that but it makes sense as I see 100 in the GUI when I have 100 in the TX.

SDedic;

I went through the whole ROBIRD setup first, then set the endpoints last on the ESC

Also

A normal curve 0 70 70 70 70 read a max throttle of 40 in the GUI.

Just saw this vid, [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9sxv2062kMA[/ame]

Do I have to do this step on top of my YGE end point programming via the card?

He was programing a hobbymate esc, you program yours with the yep card and the Robird should show 100/+- in the monitor screen if right.

Hi STeve

Thanks for your input! In the video he is in fact using a YGE and then he talks about a hobbywing having different tones.

Anyway I don't understand why I am maxed out 3000rpm. This is doing my head in.

Maybe this will help,

A linear curve on the TX 0 -100 read 0-100 on the Robird G31
If I set it 90 90 90 90 90 the Robird see it at 80 80 80 80 80

Now I by chance went to the monitor screen on the DX8 and it shows THROTTLE at 80% just like the Robird. Why is that?

I checked my other models 7HV and the 550 which are on vbar.

The 7hv has a a flat 95, this shows 92% in the monitor screen on the DX8. I get the right HS with that on the vbar GOV screen REQUEST and OUTPUT.

To bind the sat I did it through the vbar, once I got a solid light I pulled it off and stuck it on the BIRD... Could this be the cause?

So your 7hv you have set at 95% in your throttle curve, but that actually reads as 92% in the monitor screen of the Tx?
Just making sure I'm understanding
