Default Scorpion RPM sensor for Vbar governor without stepdown.

Hi everyone.

After trouble setting up my Vbar governor with Scorpion commander V6 130A, I thought i'd share my experience.

My setup:
Gaui Minivbar with Pro software.
Futaba R6303 receiver (sbus)
MKS servo's
Scorpion Commander Opto V6 130A
Scorpion Opto cable (Phase sensor.)
Direct 2S lipo.

After reading a lot about the Mini Vbar and the need for a stepdown when using a phase sensor, i decided to include the stepdown resitors into the opto cable.

Also i built a custom piece of wiring for powering the receiver, vbar, phase sensor, and voltage indicator for the RX pack.

Then i did some bench tests. The Vbar software did not show an actual RPM.
I suspected my soldering in the stepdown to be the problem.
After checkint that, there seemed to be no problem.
Then i started fidling a bit and noticed i had a (low) actual RPM readout now and then.
I decided to remove the stepdown and check the voltage of the RPM signal wire to the Vbar. That was only 5V. Input to opto cable was 7,4V from the 2S lipo.

So after all this trouble of integrating a stepdown into the scorpion optocable, i had to remove it

Included are some pictures ot the custom wire I built.

Above from left to right: RPM signal, 8,4V+ESC signal to Vbar, 8,4V to RX.
Middle, left to right; RPM sensor connection, RX pack status light.
Below left to right, ESC connection, 2S Lipo connection.

Some more detail.

Maybe this is helpful for some.

The Vbar governor is really nice. Real consistent RPM.
I'm using a scorpion 4525 520 ultimate, set at 2200 RPM in idle up 2.

Strange... But nice that it now works. I also use VBar (Full Size) with external govenor and I will never use anything else.

Yes, i was also surprised.
I double checked the output voltage on the RPM signal wire over and over, in fear of frying my Vbar.

Has this still been working for you?
I'm using the same mini V and opto, 130 scorpion esc.
