a pinion
Servo mounting plates, for looks and ease of install.
Trex600 landing skids and struts (redrill of holes needed, but easy)
PC connection for ESC?
20T OWB, to be on the safe side. (Some reported problems with the 19T, and i suspect a failure on my Hurri425 also)
Push rod adjuster http://www.heliflightcenter.com/2046...d_p/204661.htm

Further than that...have fun building!

Hi p00fman, would you please to tell me what is the failure with the 19T ? I am about to build my first CP gaui and my setup will be pretty much the same as wakeup. What use is the Push rod adjuster?

Thanks in advance

Hi to all,

to sp00fman
Pinion
agree, still under discussion, with a such motor I am planning to have 16T with 1210kV motor = 16/50/19/61 = 2750RPM
Servo mounting plates, for looks and ease of install
Could you please explain that, or better link reference.
Trex600 landing skids and struts (redrill of holes needed, but easy)
Yes, I heard about Trex600 landing skids that it is really nice and strong but what about struts?
PC connection for ESC?
Yep, I'll check it.
20T OWB, to be on the safe side. (Some reported problems with the 19T, and i suspect a failure on my Hurri425 also)
Please explain the issue.
Push rod adjuster http://www.heliflightcenter.com/2046...d_p/204661.htm
What is the purpose of this thing?

to tolenca
could you please listed your gaui config. I just want to check the difference.

thanks guys

Yep, looks the same except few things.
Do you know the difference about Spartan Quark modifications: Black, transparent, gold? Only the case?
One more question. As I still did not decided, where (shop) are you planning to purchase whole the listed things?
I thought that the main blades (wooden) are included in the kit, but it is not.

So far as I know the only difference is the case, however I think the metal case help handle better the statics and crash.
You are right no blades with basic kit. I will buy the blades in hobbycity

tolenca

hobbycity and hobbyking is it the same shop? cause I can not open any hobbycity webpage.
what is your choice for the spartan quark? Just a simple one black box? I thinking to buy the black one.
What about the servos and other stuff? Did you buy it already? I am just trying to find a good place to order it and still thinking.

The mounting plates are like washers on the screw to clamp down the servo to the heli.
It can be used with or without the rubber grommets on the servo (i think). Dont place the brass tubes in the rubber grommets, as the Gaui screws are to fat to fit in them.

The OWB seems to have a tendency to slip or lock up, and the 19T is prone to crack open (evident by a few posts, but i think the majority just fly with them anyhow)
I suspect my OWB started to slip so i lost power to the rotor and crashed.

The rod adjuster is used after you cut up the stock pushrod for the tail control to make a shorter, straight pushrod with threading on both ends.

Lol, i was trying not to place all the hobbyking links, I think you have have to decide for yourself where to buy parts. Most parts i posted are found with the first hit on Google.... Oh well, here goes. (HK should start paying me by now)

http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...dproduct=11714
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...dproduct=11713
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...dproduct=10696
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...dproduct=12297

I have ordered this new motor to test out. has not arrived yet.
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...dproduct=22400

I got my Hyperion servos from this nice japanese webshop. Quick shipping.
If you can buy them locally you dont get trouble with customs. your own decision.

wakeup,

at 2700 RPM, you might be better off with carbon blades than woodies. I don't have experience with woodies, but that is what I have read on the forums.

For Castle ESC, you can get the Castle link adapter for free. When you buy the ESC you get a coupon code which you can use here
http://www.castlecreations.com/products/clink.html
You can use any standard mini-USB cable with that adapter so you don't need to buy the USB cable that they provide.

Also I'm still using 19T OWB, but I have very few flights on my heli, so it may not be solid proof that it is flawless.

cheers,

Wakeup:
Yep they both are the same. I am going use the black plastic edition. I still need to buy servos, motor and esc. Hobbyking will be the principal source for parts.

Hi Guys,

Sorry for the late answer, was celebrating the holidays far from home.
Thanks a lot for the explanations even for the stupid questions from myself and really easy things.
This is my first experience with assembling and purchasing so much spare parts from different stores. Any answers are very welcome, especially where it is possible to receive some additional redeem or free additional useful things because of main purchase. You never know where is what.
By the way, I found some interesting offer from Spartan right now:
http://www.spartanrc.com/store/produ...1&cat=1&page=1
Do you think it is a really good deal and I have to hurry up and purchase?
