Nano CP X tips

Guys, here are some tips from us here in Product Development. We've found that the Nano CP X is pretty darn durable, but if you crash, there is always the possibility that a part gets damaged. Below are some helpful tips if you are experiencing problems.

Nano CP X Tips & Tricks

• Spindle – when installing a replacement spindle, ensure that there is no in and out play and the grips are able to rotate freely. Do not over tighten. Put a small dab of white glue or rubber cement on the spindle nut.

• Vibrations – If you are having bad vibrations and/or blades are out of track caused by crash damage, replace the spindle.

• Main Gear – If you need to replace the main gear as a result from crash damage, ensure that you apply a small amount of easily removable glue such as white glue or rubber cement.

• Collar on main shaft – If the collar on the main shaft has shifted position caused by crash damage, it needs to be secured 18.83mm from the top of the main shaft using an adhesive such as CA.

• Motor – If you need to replace the motor, you will need to apply a small dab of glue to prevent it from slipping. We recommend white glue or rubber cement.

• Break-in – The main motor, tail motor, and included lipos need a few flights to break-in. During the break-in period, you may get a little tail wag, and the overall flight power/performance may be slightly lower than expected. As you get more flights on the helicopter, the motors and battery performance will increase.

• Batteries – Do not use anything less than 25C batteries on the helicopter, the performance will suffer greatly otherwise.

• Swashplate linkage lengths – 25mm

• Main blades should be kept loose for best performance. The fast flight blades provide more stability than the hi-performance blades. The hi-performance blades may cause the helicopter to exhibit a slight wobble when the model is "unloaded".

• Binding procedure is the same as the mCP X V2

lol yeah +1 on the glue, but understandable since some of these parts may be too small to accept screws as a fastening device.

Brian, what glue does HH use and or recommend?

Both for white glue and rubber cement.

I always wondered what that white glue was they use stock on the motors like on the msr and mcx, and they use it on the servos of the micro planes. it sticks well but no clue what it is.

I had heard that bath and tile caulk is what they use, but I wouldn't mind hearing for sure what is recommended.

Guys, that white stuff that is used on the connectors on Blade helis, where can that be bought? I use ShoeGoo but I'd like to have that white stuff!

Glue (when used sparingly) is lighter than hardware. Plus, the hardware would have to be so tiny it would be easily lost.

This is probably going to sound like a dumb question, but the swashplate linkage lengths are for swashplate leveling..correct?
As long as I measure/adjust all three linkages to 25mm the swash should be dead on?

I'm kinda new to this hobby

Yes they are and mine came out of the box level. I did think that mine could use a bit more positive pitch so I gave one turn out on each link and now I get a lot more positive pitch. Before it was sluggish on pitch pumps, but now it's a nice improvement.

Why loose main blades? Slightly tight is no good?

I assume it's better for crashing purposes. Plus I don't think you can boom strike a nano.

I think it's the same as with the mCPx. It just works better, less vibrations, flies better. I think it's like this: The bigger the heli (3D flying) the tighter the blades. On these they should be so loose that they "fall by themselves when you hold the heli at 90 degrees".

Looks like the KBDD tail rotor fits, should be a good option! I find it better that the original V2 rotor. Very durable too.

dont crash with throttle, it will burn up your stock motor, also dont try to make it flip it self back over on the ground it will burn out the motor. at the moment they are outta stock so be careful!!!!

i was wondering if i'm the only one who had to change the throttle with the pitch curve's and vice versa.. , my tx is a dx8i..

i first used the settings as mentioned in the manuel, st-mode1 resulted in a big crash into the sealing...

can someone post me an example for a "rubber cement" product, that you use with your nano CP X? When i enter it in Google search, the results are a blast of different products with no clue, what i can use..

Me too, but I'd also like to understand why glue is recommended at all. Why glue rather than the thread lock / loctite which we'd normally use to secure a nut on a thread?

Funnywise it's something sold in relation to magic tricks.

If I understood correctly it's that glue that they use to fix shoes. Prolly your local "shoe fixing shop" has it.
