Need more POWER!
Is there any way other than the bl upgrade to get more power outta this thing?

Let me know! Mine has gotten more and more sluggish, despite swapping out for a new brushed motor.

The Eflite 45c battery gives it a bit more pop. Add a tiny drop of oil in the two main shaft bearings once in a while to help reduce friction.

Also, now that I have 5 batts I find that I am flying the crap out of it every chance I get. I have a line of batts next to the charger and one in the Nano, rotating them as they get down to the blinking blue light. I also moved one of the couches so now I have a 6ft by 7ft flight area, I can move the couch since I am single and I don't have to listen to any crying about doing that. I really like this nano, can't waite to get the Mcpx bl out and fly it.
Happy flying, Dave |

Just a friendly reminder..If you're flying down to the "blinking blue light" you're hitting lvc. That's gonna crap out your packs at an early age.For my nano I set my timer at 4
:30 and my packs after flight are 3.72v to 3.74v happy packs |

Upgrade to a 450x... But seriously. Not really. The 45c batteries are probably the best "non BL option", but I'm betting that if you want more power, the 45c batts aren't going to satisfy your hunger. When I got the 45c's, on my first flight I though oh gee, a little more pop, and then 20 seconds later I forgot about all that additional power. The factory BL kits does a decent job, but as with politics, money = power. Spend more, get more (generally).

Waiting on my BL UPGRADE PACKAGE
I hate the bawging down I get after a flip. Looking to get that high pitch hum no matter what position the sticks are in. Started off with a 450 Cp and never got it of the ground for more than a few seconds. When back to the nano and now I'm doing flips rolls and inverted flight. Anyway I'm waiting on the spin SMT1404 13500k to arrive. I'm hoping I get the power I'm looking for. I've also herd that when you get more power you need to upgrade tail power as well or you end up chasing it. Lol

If you want high power, go high power all the way around and get a dual brushless setup. If you want just a little more power and a more reliable motor, you might be able ot just get away with the stock tail. The other thing to try is a "V" throttle curve. Try 80% throttle at zero pitch, and 100% at full pos and neg pitch... That will help with the bogging.

Its annoying to spend on it but the factory BL with a stretch boom will give you pretty much a bog free flip. I have 1 brushed Nano that I was flying this weekend along with my brushless twins. While the brushless twins aren't crazy powerful, compared to the brushed one its not even close. You really feel it going inverted.

I have the DX4e that came with the nano RTF. Not sure how to change the V curve. Not even sure if you can.

Received my SMT1404 13500K with 10 a esc today but wonder up being a dud. The ecs would cut out mid flight and would not even fly in stunt mode. After about 30 seconds of flight it wouldn't even spin past 10%.
