Hey another fusion

I'm multiplying
Muahhhaaaaaaaa

Isn't the x4 a 425mm heli?

Don't be discouraged by no release date, same with the x7
But there has been hints it will be out in time to have it under the x-mas tree

"Sorry for my late reply, I am in iHobby exhibition in Chicago.
X4 will be relaeased before X'mas this year, and the price of X4 is not announced to our dealers yet.
The price should be the same among all dealers, we are not sure where you can get the chapest price, you have to find it by yourself.
The X4 will be released as kit version only, w/o ESC, servos, gyro, motor and main blades."

Best regards,

Alex

So Alex,

Are you some how part of gaui?

Just a freindly question.

Also I would be intrested if the one way bearing has been upgraded,

The bearings below and above fail, and cause the owb to fail.
Or vise versa, point is it is a problem, and posts in here show that.

I had a 425 cf frame, tt, x4 head, ceramic bearings throughout
Vxb one way bearing with metal clutches.

It still went out. So maybee you guys did upgrade the owb?

Thanks , looking forward to hearing some info.

Proper build = no bearing failures....
Improper build = possible bearing failures.

I have 4 Hurri's.... 2 short boomed 425's, one medium boomed '500', and one long boomed 550. Close to a thousand flights on them combined, and not a single bearing failure to date on any of them........ And, just to add, not a single gear failure on any of them yet either.

Proper set up is very important, especially on the plastic framed Hurri's. Build it right, and it will be problem free.

Sorry this is not what I asked.

Or who I asked,

Thanks for your opinion, my frame came preassembled.(cf frame, please read again)

Try again.

If you want to debate owb installation please feel free to start a thread.

It says X4 info, and I'm asking about X4 details.

Sorry if you thought my post was directed toward you, as it was not. You had mentioned that people have had problems with the 425, and I was only pointing out that many times those problems can be self inflicted.

Some helicopter kits come 90% assembled, but, who knows if it was assembled properly? Trusting what someone else put together could lead to problems later. Best to make sure that everything is 100% to reduce the chance of premature failures.

Well that's good to hear you never had any problems, but that doesn't mean they don't exsist. And what can a upgraded owb hurt??? Just feelings I guess

Here is 1 example, most recent, I can find many more, there are countless reports.
If your intrested, just google gaui+ owb failure. I came up with pages.
And why would they switch to vxb bearings if there was no problem

https://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=350323

If its been fixed ,,good. Ill get one.

If not ill get something else.

I almost forgot, this is supposed to be part of the "x" series
So I would expect it to be on the next level,

I myself was interested in the X4 until I came to believe that it was only going to be available in an FBL version. If there is a flybarred version, I might be interested.

I don't get into the FB vs FBL arguments. I just prefer FB and belt driven tail. Others prefer FBL and TT drive tails. I say, fly what you like. I just don't think I personally would have the patience to set up an FBL controller and get it right.

I have been thinking about getting an X5 as my next helicopter, and if so, it will be the X5 Lite for me, with FB and belt drive, as that is my preference. It's nice that Gaui has offered choices, although I would prefer the CF frames, and I believe the X5 Lite comes with G10 frames????

I also read that there might be an X6 in the making, to replace the Hurri 550, but might just be hearsay, I dunno. Until we hear from the Gaui reps, we can only speculate.

The x6 is in prototype version, probably gona come out with the other x series helis.

The x5 lite is a lower cost model, that's why it has a gf frame.

The x5 flybar head would fit the x4 , you just need the x4 grips for 425mm blades.

heya Jerry,

Apologises on the late reply mate. Have been of all sorts lately

re the X6. At the moment there isn't much to say besides the prototype being played with.
GAUI have been concentrating on the 2, 4,5 and 7 .
Should any news filter through, i'll endevour to pass it on

Thanks Vas, any new Gaui news, is good news. Only problem for me anymore is that I like tail belts and flybars, and all of the newer models seem to be TT and FBL, not just Gaui, but everybody.

Might just have to keep flying my Hurri's till parts aren't available for them any more, then give up the hobby.

I'd say belt is just a matter of time IMHO. Look at X5 - they started with the TT only, but now the belt is there as well. And I think the same goes for FB...
