I need this beaty in pair for my Froza450

Anyone know what tail shaft diameter?

I am totally sold as well, even though my E6-550 is on the way from rcjapan as we speak.

Now I need to save more money for this beauty too. If I were to compare forza 700 to a FA-22 fighter, i truly think the forza 550 is prettier than a F-35.

Thumbs up Fantastic

A little brother for my FORZA 700 is just what I need. They definitely went the right direction with this one.

This will fit nicely between my E6 and Forza 700.

Wasn't sure about the belt until I saw the rear pulley. This thing will handle some power for sure.

Love the servo layout, was my only gripe about the e6 servo wire routing so close to the main gear.. Standard servos? Some people didnt like the e6 because it used minis, i like the mini servos

Based on what some other companies did, I am hoping forza 550 can eventually have the following options (JR or 3rd party)
- (0) DFC head
- (1) pure FBL w/ swash followers as you said
- (2) hybrid one arm DFC + one arm FBL (Diabolo 550)
- (3) hybrid tri-blade: 1 arm DFC + 2 arms ball links (Oxy3, Triabolo 800)
- (4) normal tri-blade: 3 arms ball links + 1 follower (Forza 700)

I hope JR can include parts for (1) and (2) with the kit, and sell either (3) or (4) as an optional upgrade.

Mooney, can you hear me??

I like the integrated Elevator swash anti rotation, is that what you guys are not liking?
I've owned Goblins, Trex500 and a 6HV. I liked the way DFC flew myself, guess I'm not flying it as hard as everyone else?
I'm anxious to give it a try before I make decisions.

The Forza 450 uses "DFC" style head while the 700 uses swash followers. It's interesting that they decided to use DFC for this 550...there must be a reason....anyone know why?

BTW someone mentioned some other brand helis using "hybrid" DFC/SF style head. What is the benefit of that configuration?

For normal 2-blade or 3-blade dfc heads, any play around feather shafts will cause the dfc arms bending against each other, causing metal fatigue, leading to fatal issues

For hybrid, since only one arm drives the swash, play in feather shaft busing will simply result in swash phase rotation, but not bending of any arms. That is why dfc heads must have no play at all.

Also the minor phase rotation of the swash off from the head will have equal effect on all three blades, (pause for u to visualize) so no tracking separation issue either in case you wonder.

Well that is the theory. For 2-blade, I still prefer the 2 fbl ball link arms with two followers. For 3-blade, I prefer 3 fbl ball link arms with one follower.

DFC arms mess with the phasing of the head...
