.60 size mount for Frenzy 50?

Do they make a big block mount for the Frenzy 50? I blew my OS 50 Hyper today and have an OS .61 sitting on my bench just rotting away. Maybe I can put it in the Frenzy?

IMO the 90's Frenzy-90V2 engine-mount is not the same as the Frenzy-50s one..

Todays 90' engine generate from the mounting width from the former 60' size engines, meanwhile the 50' size engines developed out of the smaller 46' size engines.

As a consequence, a former 61 size engine will have a different mounting widht and hole pattern than a mderen 50' size engine. The only exception from this is, the KME Diamond 60' size heli engine ("60' displacement in the body of a 50' size") ..

So as your 60' size won't easely mount on your Frenzy-50 engine-mount, maybe on a Frenzy-90V2's engine-mount it will, but considering both machines (F50 and F90) would have the same side-frame width ? If so, you would probably need to drill new holes for either the engine-mount fixation on the side-frames or somewhere else, as the old 60' might be larger (crankshaft wise) than a modern 50' size engine ? The OS/ TT fan-hub system from the Frenzy-90 might work - but needs to be checked .. A further check to make is about the muffler ..

Considering to many things to be checked, additional parts to be bought and a few hours for modification, IMO it's better to buy an OS/ALIGN-50 (grand-rc.com) for less then USD 160.- and add a temperature monitor, to prevent next time from blewing easely an engine. There are a few threads about engine tuning here on HF, including typical engine temperatures.
