Bad crash--Failed tail servo
I had a pretty bad crash at the field today. I could not understand what happened. Finally, while testing after the repairs, I noticed the tail servo was glitching. It turns out my tail servo went on the fritz.
The bigger issue is: my last 3 crashes, indeed almost all my crashes resulting from mechanical problems, were caused by tail failures. Broke tail belt. Gyro fell off. Servo failed. Also, I recently threw a tail blade but, I was able to land that one. I am having a string of bad luck? jrohland |

I switched out to a align tail setup and have got varry good results. so align boom, servo mounts, tail linkage, bell crank, pitch slider, tail rotor, and carbon blades from an se. The gearbox is almost identical. Just remember to use the stuck pully on the tail. for the pitch slider I chaneg the links going to blade grips to longer ones to center the slider.
